Commonly known as Botox, which is simply the brand name for the active drug Botulinum Toxin Type A. Anti-wrinkle treatments relax muscles to smooth fine lines. The treatment injections use a highly purified protein (Botulinum Toxin Type A) that temporarily blocks the nerve signals from reaching specific facial muscles.

How long does it last?

On average, results last between 3 and 4 months. Factors like your metabolism, muscle strength, and lifestyle (e.g., high-intensity exercise or sun exposure) can influence longevity.

Is the treatment painful?

The procedure involves a series of very fine injections. Most clients describe the sensation as a minor "pinch" or a stinging feeling that lasts only a few seconds. No anesthesia is required, and the process is typically completed in 15–20 minutes.

For clients with sensitive skin or a lower pain threshold, we offer the option of a numbing cream to minimize discomfort.

What aftercare is needed?

• Stay Upright: Do not lie flat or bend over for 4 hours. This ensures the product remains exactly where it was placed and doesn't migrate to unintended muscles.

• Hands Off: Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas. Pressure can shift the product, which may lead to temporary eyelid or brow drooping.

• Skip the Alcohol: Wait 24 hours before having a drink. Alcohol thins the blood and dilates vessels, which can cause or worsen bruising and swelling.

• Keep Cool: Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and steam rooms. Excessive heat and increased circulation can flush the product out of the muscle before it fully binds.

• Clean Skin: Wait until the following morning to apply makeup or heavy skincare to keep the injection points sterile.

Are there side effects?

Mild redness or swelling may occur and sometimes bruised at the injection site. These after-effects resolve naturally usually within a few days.

When will I see results after treatment?

Results start to appear within three to five days, with full effect by two weeks.

For Jawline Slimming & Non-Surgical Neck Lift, allow 4 weeks.

Why do I need a consultation first?

Anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription-only medicine (POM). A face-to-face consultation with our prescriber is required to assess your suitability and ensure the treatment is safe for you.

Is there any downtime?

There is virtually no downtime. You can return to your normal routine immediately, though we do recommend a few "aftercare" rules for the first 24 hours:

• Avoid strenuous exercise.

• Keep your head upright (don't lie flat immediately after).

• Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area.

• Skip the sauna or steam room.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

• Avoid Blood Thinners: Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and supplements like Fish Oil for 7 days. These increase blood fluidity, which can lead to unnecessary bruising.

  Note: Always consult your GP before pausing prescribed medication.

• Limit Alcohol: Avoid alcohol for 24–48 hours before your visit. Alcohol dilates blood vessels, increasing the risk of swelling at the injection sites.

• Skin Prep: Pause Retinal or exfoliating acids 2 days prior to ensure the skin barrier is calm and not irritated before treatment.

I have a special event coming up. When should I book?

• Weeks 1–2: It takes roughly 14 days for the protein to fully relax the muscles and for the skin to smooth out.

• Week 2: We invite you for a follow-up review to ensure your results are symmetrical and as desired.

• Weeks 3–4: By this stage, any minor bruising has faded and the treatment has settled into its most natural, refreshed state.

What are Polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are injectable biostimulators made from highly purified DNA fragments. Unlike traditional treatments that simply coat or "fill" the skin, polynucleotides work at a cellular level to repair damaged tissue, boost collagen production, and improve skin quality from the inside out.

How do they work?

Are they the same as Dermal Fillers?

• Fillers add volume and "plump" a specific area physically.

• Polynucleotides do not add artificial volume; they improve the actual health and thickness of your skin. They are often called "biological primers."

Are there any contraindications?

Because the DNA fragments are ethically sourced from fish, this treatment is not suitable for those with a severe fish or seafood allergy.

It is also not recommended for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Why are they so popular for the eye area?

The skin around the eyes is the thinnest on the body. Polynucleotides are ideal for this area because they:

What are dermal fillers?

How do they work?

As we age, our bodies produce less collagen and elastin. Fillers act as a "support system" beneath the skin, physically lifting the tissue to fill in wrinkles or adding volume to areas like the lips and cheeks that have thinned over time.

How soon will I see results?

Results are immediate. You will leave your appointment seeing a visible difference in volume and smoothness.

However, please allow 2 weeks for the filler to fully "settle" and for any minor swelling to completely subside to see the final, polished result.

Are the results permanent?

No. Because they are made of natural substances, your body will eventually break them down and absorb them.

Are there side effects?

To minimize the risk of bruising and ensure the best canvas for your treatment:

• 1 Week Before: Avoid blood-thinning supplements (Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Garlic) and non-essential medications like Aspirin or Ibuprofen.

The fillers we use contain Lidocaine (a local anaesthetic) to numb the area during the injection. Most patients describe the feeling as a quick pinch or a pressure sensation.

If you are preparing for a wedding, milestone birthday, or photoshoot, timing is key to ensuring a soft, settled result.

• The "Golden Window": We recommend booking your treatment 3 to 4 weeks before a significant event.

• Why wait? While results are instant, it takes roughly 14 days for the Hyaluronic Acid to fully integrate with your skin tissue and for any micro-swelling to subside.

• First-Timers: If this is your first treatment, we suggest booking 6 weeks in advance. This allows time for a complimentary 2-week review and any minor "tweakments" to perfect your look.

What aftercare is needed?

Following these steps ensures your filler settles perfectly:

• First 6–12 Hours: Do not touch, rub, or apply makeup to the treated area. Stay upright and avoid bending over.

• First 48 Hours: Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and extreme heat (saunas, steam rooms, or sunbeds).

• Sleeping: Sleep on your back with your head slightly elevated for the first 1–2 nights to help reduce any morning swelling.
